Books by Uri Dushy

Where Art Meets Story

For over forty years, Uri Dushy has told stories through sculpture, painting, and mixed media. Now, in his historical fiction series and creative guides, those stories come to life on the page — blending art, history, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Historical Fiction & Creative Guides

Each novel in the Art of Survival series follows Jewish artists navigating Europe during the turbulent years of World War II — stories inspired by true events, told with an artist's eye for beauty even in the darkest of times.

"My art is a dialogue — between layers, between colors, between people. My books are an extension of that same conversation."
Uri Dushy

From Canvas to Page

Before the novels, there were the sculptures. For four decades, Uri has created layered wall constructions and public installations that explore themes of movement, identity, and the human experience. His iconic figures — caught mid-stride, mid-thought, mid-life — became the seeds for the characters in his fiction.

The same eye that composes a three-dimensional scene from aluminum, glass, and acrylic now crafts narratives where history, art, and personal courage intertwine. Every novel carries the visual richness and emotional depth of an artist who has spent a lifetime observing the world.
